Compatibility of an APR tune in a different vehicle

I'm going to sell my parts A6's APR tuned ECU. I'm wondering if APR tuned ECU's can simply be swapped from one car to another or if there is something APR would have to do to make it work. Any help is appreciated. My old TDI days had swapped ECU's often and it was always referred to as IMMO delete (immobilizer delete.)

I have the paperwork and I'm going to call the company that tuned the ECU (Imola Motorsports, Minneapolis MN) ASAP.

If you swap the physical ECU and the hardware all matches with it's new home I don't see how wouldn't work. Most of the time you can't 'copy' or clone the tune due to obvious reasons. But if you can adapt the ECU to another car then it should work. Many people get a spare ECU to put a tune on specifically so they can swap it around or keep it if they sell the car.
I'm sure if they really wanted to they could do some kind of 'vin lock' or prevent adapting of the ECU, but that would cost them alot of business probably.
