Hello, as some of you might know i got a VW Passat B5 that is rebuilt and now have Audi S4 B5 engine, drivetrain and brakes.

To get the engine approved in the car i need to documentate that the Passat raw body can handle 400nm.

Does any of you know how i can documentate that, i belive Audi and VW B5 shere the same raw body but i got no way to document that.

    Here is the car:

Can you use the B5 Passat W8 as a comparison?

Sorry, I can't offer any help or suggestions, but wow! That looks awesome.

Is that a Syncro / 4Motion, or FWD?

Couldn't you get it done based off of the vin # showing the same chassis code for each car? B5 Passat vs b5 s4? The frames are identical.

    Ok so,
passat first 12 of vin code is: WVWZZZ3BZXE1

    And donor car:
    WAUZZZ8DZWA2

Number 4,5,6 is the same, they tell the body style, engine and restraint. I guess thats what i need?

Ah... on decoding website: In Volkswagen’s case, meaning is only given to digits 7 and 8. Digits 4, 5, 6 and 9 are fill-in digits only and will contain the letter ‘Z’.

That will be tough. Audi/VW generally won't offer any help regarding these types of issues.
