    RS7 Window Vent Visors

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
One of the most annoying things about my RS7 is the amount of wind when the windows are down.
WeatherTech has always had vent visors for my vehicles, but there is nothing for my car at all.
Have any of you found something that will work.

The in-channel visors I have on my truck are extremely low profile, barely noticeable, and very effective... That's all I'm wanting.

There is no way to fit any type of window vent on a car with frameless windows....

Audi spent a lot in research to make the interior quiet and provide filtered climate control but you prefer to negate their efforts and open the window to let ambient noise and pollutants into the car? Secondly, have you ever seen the look of any vehicle enhanced by these plastic protruding appendages?
Sorry I'm not much help but an RS7?

God I love the Internet. And forum trolls.

    1) The RS7 is my wife's daily driver. She wants freaking window deflectors so I came here after obvious extensive research yielded no results.
    2) In-channel visors go inside the window channel, and don't require a frame. I kind of assumed in-channel was clear and specific enough, but obviously not.
    3) WeatherTech has deflectors for every model besides the A/S/RS7, and the R8. Have them for the A4, A6, TT, Q, etc etc.
    4) Do you think Audi's interior sound research determines whether you should roll your windows down? Ever? Are you kidding me?
    5) This isn't about looks. It's about having the windows down on a gorgeous day and not having to deal with wind. Hence the term "wind deflector."

Now, I understand the purist and elitists saying it's blasphemy to put these things on, but I didn't ask your opinion. Not once. It's what she wants and I want to do what I can to make her happy.

So let's keep this more on topic.
    That'd be great. Thanks.

How would in-channel visors work on the RS7 with frameless windows? You would need to roll down the windows every time you open the door.

You can actually get these for the A7 so they should fit on the RS7. Try the link below

Well there you go. Shows how much I drive the car. Sigh. That's actually the most embarrassing thing I've experienced in a while. Didn't realize the top of her door didn't have an actual frame. Which makes me look like a complete douchebag for my #2 above.
    Please accept my apologies.
    Seriously. I should have checked.

Jesus... that makes sense why they don't make them for the car... and I didn't even think about that. I'm an idiot.

You did the research and found out they won't work. At least you didn't buy those eBay vent visors.

I had visors on my last car and liked them. I always have the drivers side window cracked open and they keep the rain out.

You could always buy her an S6.

That has window frames and channels.

I put the sunroof option on my car to overcome the problem with wanting some fresh air when travelling, without the noise you get when opening the windows. There is some noise, but it's significantly reduced.

I do understand the problem though, as there are times when l crack the window when it's been raining (toll booth, car park entrance etc.) but inevitably end up with water dumped all over the inside of the door and running into the door switchgear not to mention dripping all over my seat.

Frameless doors may make a design statement, but it does nothing to keep rainwater from dumping in your lap when the car is stopped and you need to open the window when the car is wet
