    a3 8v add paddles shift help

    hi!
    i have a audi a3 8v 2.0tdi stronic (2014) without paddle shifts. it has only, multifunction and voval comands and cruise controls.. i have checked with vcds but I don t have byte 2 bit 5 to activate tiptronic.. someone can tell what I need to activate paddle?

    I added a paddle shift steering wheel to my 2016 A3 and it was plug and play

    It should just be plug and play. No VCD required at all. Check your connections? The rest of the buttons work for you?

    so also in audi a3 2014year is plug and play? no need activation by vcds? because I've read that guys that has do retrofitting then they had to activate bit 5 (that on my is not present)
    (sorry for my bad english)

    I'd like to understand before buy the new steering wheel..if I must yet change ecu or other parts..

    If you have the cruise control and the MFSW alteady, you have the correct module and its plug and play.

    Yes I have them, but how it's possible that on vcds I don't have bit 5 to activate? (see the photo)
