I put mine behind my rear view mirror, zero issues with suction cup in 3+ years. For a budget dash cam that's also 1080p and also has decent low light quality, u can't go wrong.

I purchased a dash cam recently as well (not the one in the OP). Does anyone have a good guide on installation on B8.5s? In terms of wiring to the fuse directly and not using a cigarette lighter.

Crap, I deleted the pix, I think it's on 1 of my threads on here, but u use the fuse box on drivers side, u need 2 buy an "add a circuit fuse tape" has to be for a normal full size fuse like $5 and a 12v cigarette lighter extension like $10. Pick a spare fuse on the driver side that doesn't have power when the car shuts off, add that 2 it. Running the wire is pretty easy.

I don't see how great the deal is in terms of cost performance.

It's an Audi and it does deserve the BlackVue dash cam instead of cheap knock-offs

For what u get in a camera it is a good deal. Is it as good as the blackvue, obviously not. But it's also over $300 more. Shame on me for trying to pass a good deal on 2 other fellow car enthusiasts!

ive got 4 of these black boxes, other than them being picky on only using transcend microsd cards i haven't had any problems with them. 2 are over a year old.

Hey hey! SO mean! LOL

I just felt it was very high profile especially given the suction cup - which would make it an eye sore. But to be fair I see you could mount it on the back of the rear view mirror deleting the suction cup which is nice. Typically you get what you pay for but with this price point and type of device it's a low risk purchase.

Reviews are mixed if you look it up on Amazon. Many different manufactures seem to make the same unit.

I prefer the dashcams that will do multiple views (rear and front)...

Lol I only said that b/c the guy is acting like he drives a ferrari. Point being that he settled for an S5 b/c that was within his budget and that it is ok to do so when you have a budget. Idk maybe it came off a little weird b/c of the internet but no hate.
