A car I am looking at is misfiring on cylinder 4 even after changing the spark plugs and coil packs. Does anyone know what it could be?

I can't remember what an ICM is however it does sound familiar and the car has a 2.0 Coilpack conversion if that matters.

    What are your compression numbers?

Ah its 2.0 swapped? Icm is a ignition control module which is irrevolant if he swaped to the 2.0 setup.

Like said above id run a compression check next cylinder 4 could have something wrong.

Wouldn't a bad ICM (if still fitted) affect 3 cylinders?

Nope I have had it only effect one cylinder 2 separate times!

Compression check and inspect affected sparkplug for any traces of oil or lean condition. Report back and let us know what you find. Hopefully it's something simple. Check cam timing in block 93 if you have vcds as well.

if the compression check comes out fine, you can try swapping injectors as well to see if the misfire follows
