    I'm not sure, maybe someone can chime in. I used this with success in my '09 S5. Works much better than the OE Audi BT for music. Everything can be controlled from the MMI.

    Check their website, maybe a tutorial of the differences?

    the 3000a has a built in cord, the 1000 plugs into the ipod 30 pin connector. I have the 3000a and it does work with my galaxy s6. doesnt show the songs line with apple products but you can skip and mute songs.
