I need help. I brought it to a shop and the guy put it on a lift for me. He cleaned off the underside of the car and we could see oil oozing from the oil pan gasket. I told him i'd deal with that myself and I compensated him for putting it on the lift. He was great and very nice.
I replaced the oil pan gasket with gasket goop sealer (whatever you want to call it) and it seems to be holding.
I still leak vast quantities of oil. It seems to be coming from above the oil pan drain plug but higher than the oil pan gasket. that seems ot be holding. Could the pressure system be clogged? I'm trying to do as much as I can on my own but a cam gasket or rear main seal is beyond my abilities. What are the chances this works:

    maintenance:
I purchased it with no records at 172,000. the seller claimed to have done the valve cover gaskets just before selling it. I was able to find out the timing belt was done at 125k. spark plugs looked good but still replaced at 177. I did oil this weekend when i did the oil pan cover. I did it at 177k and 173k. i've had a very small leak from passenger side cam seal. this leak seems to be on the drivers side. I dont see any leaks when I look down from above.
