So I bought LEGIT OEM front and rear new main seals from ECS and they didn't come with the shitty plastic install tool? Really??!!?!? Now what?

Edit: It was FCP Euro, I just double checked. I called them and they cant do shit for me, unless I exchange it for aftermarket ones that DO come with tool.

Have you followed up with ECS to see whether they would send the tool?

use the old seal and a wood block to evenly tap the new ones into place... it's a little ghetto but should apply even pressure as you press it in.

Pressing it in isn't the issue, its making sure the lips on the seal don't get folded when installing.......

this is what i did without the cone. use a plastic painter scrapper to tuck in the inner flap. then go home depot and buy a pcv pipe that matches the seal size and use a light hammer and hammer that shiit in

I used a 1 5/8" socket as a loading mandrel for the front main seal.

Dow Corning 111. Use it for all my (automotive) lubrication needs. Works very well, especially for coil packs and coolant hoses
