This is my first post. I need help with a hardcore wiring issue with my 2000 S4. I recently acquired this car knowing that it had an electrical meltdown/fire. I assessed the damage and decided I could tackle it. Please know that I have formal Audi factory training, so no need to keep things simple for me. But I digress. From what I could tell, the fire originated under the driver's knee bolster somewhere behind the central electrics module. When I got the car, the previous owner had already cut out and removed a lot of the burnt wiring. So you could probably guess that I don't have a real good starting point. Whatever happened, power somehow made it's way to ground, and melted the harness all the way back to the fuel pump harness. The grounds melted together, and then whatever wires were bundled with those grounds fused themselves together also. So what I'm asking for are some high-res photos of the driver's connector station (front and back) so I can get the connector color layout correct. Also, I need the layout of the wiring that is screwed to the bottom of the central electrics module. From what I have found so far, I have two black/yellow wires, a bunch of reds, and a green/black. I need to know which ones go where. Also, I need relay layout, and the connector/relay bracket that is directly above the central electrics module. And then I know there's one more set of connectors behind all that. Not the DME connectors, but a plastic bracket that has two pins on the left side that fit into holes on the left, right above the hood release handle. I need to get this car running ASAP, as I no longer have my daily driver. I have a few pictures that I took myself, but I'm not sure how to embed them. Please help. I feel like I'm losing my mind with this project!!!!!
