No one beats the dealer when it comes to the perfect alignment.. they have high dollar machines that do a great job. Hamilton Audi is less busy than Oakville.

Thanks Miss audi did my car and I have one tire that is fried - all other tires look fine- they did the alignment and it looked good on paper. The last service they said tires were in good shape - put the winters on and the pass side front if pooched.

may try hamilton Audi as they are closer to home

Correct me if I'm wrong, but based on my research many Audis require you to recalibrate the steering angle sensor once the alignment adjustments are completed. That's why the dealerships and high end shops charge more.

It literally takes 30 seconds to recalibrate the G85 steering angle sensor using VCDS.

For alignments, there is a big difference between setting everything within the spec values and setting it correctly. For tire longevity and optimal tracking, you want as close to zero toe as possible on the front (both sides) with just a very slight ammount of toe in (only a few arc mins toe in). You also want matching values left/right assuming your subframes are centered. (The dealer will likely be the only place that will be able to properly center the subframes in addition to the suspension adjustments).

If you are lowered, or even factory sport springs it is important to have the bump steer set appropriately (height of outer tie rod relative to steering knuckle). Again, the dealer would be best for this.

if only one tire was pooched id be checking for worn / damaged suspension components before I would be getting an alignment done.

Audi said all looked good, however, my trust of them is waning. I am looking for a shop to check it out- may try Hamilton Audi next.
