    Service position bolts?

Hi, searched high and low on the forum and nemiga but couldn't find information on the long service position bolts. Could someone give me a part # or just describe the bolts - I think they have a sleeve as well? I searched on jhm and ecs for "service position" but nothing came up.

You don't need those bolts on a B7 or older car. Just let the core support hang on the low speed impact shocks since they go in the frame rail a bit.

The B8 and newer cars need those bolts because they are different and nothing is there to support the core support.

Thanks REVO, yes, danged if I could find them - thanks for that. Jimmy, good to know - much appreciated! I've done just about everything I want to the engine and transmission so am getting close to putting it all back in the car (after 12 months, I've still managed to find all the parts. I can see a brake lathing in my future though - they'll be really crunchy by now...)

    M90x1.25 bolt.
Put a fender washer on it.
Get some small diameter iron pipe, and slide over the bolts. The pipe is 1/2"x2" black steel nipple, with the threads cut off on one end: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Mueller-G...20HN/100197895
Here's what I put together at Home Depot
