Using Component speakers in a B6 A4 Bose system

Hi, I have a '02 A4 1.8TQMS Bose, and I am trying to determine if I can install some component speakers in the doors.

Can I just install the tweeters and mid-woofers with the current wiring, or do I need to use the "cross-overs" that separate the two different speaker signals? I am thinking that the Bose system already does this, and I can just directly wire them in place. I am keeping the stock head unit.

To replace speakers you should replace the amp also. The bose amp will not have enough power for aftermarket speakers.
