    82mm or 75mm wheel bearing?

Hi everyone, I'm having a nightmare trying to find out what size rear wheel bearings my car has. I've got an 2000 A6 2.7T quattro.
I've been searching the internet, my Bentley manual, the service manual, forums etc. and I cant find anywhere that will give me a definate answer. I'm trying to find out without pulling everything off first as then the car is out of action until i get the new one! I've even run the PR codes to see if there's anything but i've just drawn blanks.
    Any help would be great.

Have I just been stupid here and are the 82mm bearings for the bolt on housings on the aluminium uprights and the 75mm ones for the press fit bearing on the steel uprights?
