Hi all new to the 6 series so need a Lil help if possible. My brothers car 05 A6 3.2 quattro. Left something plugged in overnight an killed the battery. Replaced the battery just fine an mmi worked at first after having to power it back on manually but now it won't come on at all? Any thoughts or helpful suggestions?

I've had my battery near dead and it is doing the same. Also the TPMS and ESP lights come on about 10 mins into a drive

Yeah when I replaced the battery I got esp off an said all sorts of bulbs were out. Esp works fine but I am still getting all the bulb warnings even though the bulbs are in fact working.

Does your screen never turn on? Is it always black?

If you disconnect battery, when you connect battery, ESP light remain on until you get around some meters.
When ESP light remain ON, usually it is due to faulty battery.
When you change the battery, you have to code module of battery.

When I first replaced the battery I had to hold the power on/off button (next to screen by glove box release) a couple times to get mmi working but it came on. After the first couple times driving it though the mmi stopped working completely even if you tried to power it on/off with the button.

Ok, the screen is always black (OFF). And, do you have sound (radio, music ...) ? If you have vagcom, you can diagnose the problem. If you have sound, the problem can be the screen. If you dont have sound, the problem can be Gateway. If you dont give a code your new battery, it work but it is advisable code so that sistem knows that it has a new battety and what battery. Battery recommendable is 110 Ah.

    Coding battery
    [Select]
    [61 - Battery Regulation]
    [Coding - 07]
Use the pull down menu to select the battery (slave) listed as 1.
    [Battery Coding]
Enter the new Battery Part Number (10 or 11 digits).
Enter the new Battery Serial Number (10 digits).
    Select the new Battery Vendor.
    [OK]
    [Do it!]
[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]

Have still not tried to code battery. But dug through the car the other day checked all fuses in driver an passenger dash and trunk fuse box. No blown fuses. After pulling fuses started the car and MMI worked fine played radio switched to disc changer and played multiple discs. Worked the whole time I was pulling codes with my scanner. But when I tried to clear codes MMI shut back off. Rechecked fuses didn't blow anything. Here's the codes I got

    02072: control module for energy management (J644)sporadic -004-no signal/communication

00446: function limitation due to under voltage -002 sporadic

    02445: disk drive initialization error

02444: disk drive load eject malfunction

Please let me know if anyone has any ideas or suggestions.
