    Weird noise - transmission mount

Recently took my car for a spin after being off the road for awhile and noticed a heavy clunking sound coming from transmission. Upon further inspection I noticed the center bolt and spacer that hold the transmission mount together was missing somehow. Weird. So I found out the bolt size and replaced it along with the nut on the bracket that holds it together and washers to space everything accordingly. I jb welded the nut so it made installation of the bolt easier.

Now I have a really weird vibration noise coming from that area. Is there something I am missing here. Sorry to be so vague on the noise it's just really weird and doesn't sound good cheers

With the washers you installed, did you defeat the rubber isolation of the trans mount?

Don't quite understand what your asking basically if you relate to the 034 tranny mount and what they provide I replicated the hardware. Instead of the spacer they give you I used multiple washers so the bolt doesn't have excess threads sticking out the bracket on the transmission. Haha hope that makes sense hard to explain. Guess I'll take it apart or just buy a new mount.

What he is saying is that the washers may be causing the normal vibrations coming through the transmission to bypass the damping of the rubber mount and putting these vibs into the chassis. The washers are giving the vibes a path from the tranny to the chassis, however this would only be an issue if the washers were touching both the tranny and chassis. I hope this clears it up.
