    Whilst I bought the RS7 to be the complete car the forum user in me feels the need to tinker so curious to see what other A/S/RS7 owners have done and / or are planning to do to their cars?

    In 4 weeks I've;

    Installed Pipercross Air Filter
    Central muffler delete / x-pipe replacement
    Resonator delete

    On the list to do;

    034 mods including rear ARB, drop links & transmission mount
    Winter tyres
    285/30/21 MPSS's for 2017
    Custom carbon fibre Paddle shifter extensions

    Thinking of;
    Winter wheels (said to myself I wouldn't but TSW Bathurst 21x10.5 gunmetal look so nice)
    AWE intake (really worth it?)
    KW height adjustable lowering springs (anyone fitted these to a DRC equipped car?)
    Charge cooler / uprated Intercooler
    APR map (a long way off)

    My bad, was supposed to say 285/30/21. Doubt 19's would fit over the ceramics!

    I've looked at that and it is just a personal thing but as much as there may be tonal gains I can't help think it looks like the K&N cone filter I fitted to my first Nova Max Power stylee.

    I hoped for something better engineered / designed with aesthetics and given the heat soak in the engine bay of this and most other RS's I'd only look at a carbon fibre heat insulated unit. Had a GruppeM on my RS4 and no doubt like the RocEuro it sounds fantastic but it's not the direction I'm going in this time.

    Need to keep the sound near to stock under orders from my better half or pain of death (she eventually hated my RS4 with non res cat back and GruppeM), pretty sure the EuroRoc won't help my family status!

    Then l think your original airbox, will be as good as it gets.

    I had the AWE S-Flo Carbon fitted, couldn't tell the difference, both from a sound or performance perspective.

    Thanks for the heads up, I thought that may be the case as any heavy modifying I did to the RS4 meant going back to the OEM air-box because the GruppeM started restricting performance. Same on my RS3 and S4 so wondered if I might hit the same obstacle with the RS7, damn!

    Have you dyno'ed your S7 with/out the RocEuro to see if there are any gains to be had?

    Your steering wheel modification sparks my curiosity, do you have any pictures?

    ButDyno only on the RocEs. Makes the turbos sing, not so much impact on exhaust note.

    Ironic as a few RS3 owners have complained about Carbon Designz, not because of their products per se but their over-promise under-deliver philosophy. In some instances no communication, one guy is still waiting on his parts after 3 months. Anything I've had done carbon fibre wise I've used an outfit local to me, Argon Creative. I hear decent things about C6 Carbon as well.

    You say all that yet you've done an x pipe mod with resonator delete lol

    The roc euro is one of the only intakes with proven gains

    The x-pipe resonator delete sound can be controlled by the exhaust valves so when the family are in the car is pretty much in comfort mode all the time, turbo spooling / rush / induction can't so it was the easiest way to get some better tone but not too much. Otherwise I'd have gone for a full exhaust. That and for me there is the aesthetics thing.

    When I went from non res-valved on the RS4 to adding GruppeM it was noticed so experience suggests not to try that route again!

    I'm pretty sure your standard intake will give you those you can get. Maybe get the Revo filter or something similar if you want more turbo spool noises.
    I can't say for sure but I'm definitely making more power with the rs intake. But there's also the fact the engine has loosened properly now. I think I'm gonna follow your suggestion and go to DDB

    I installed a Pipercross foam filter for better airflow / economy. Reality is that whatever marginal gains there are won't be felt that well in a car with over 560bhp and 2 tonnes in weight. If I were going Stage 1 or 2 it would make more sense to go RocEuro no doubt.

    BTW pez, were you at the Silverlink this morning around 10.40 going Northbound up the A19 hill? Saw a Blue C7 Avant, thought it might be you?

    I'm not convinced on the roc euro for our engine it gets really hot in that bay.
