So as I'm planning out my strategy for purchasing parts this coming holiday season, I still haven't found a place to even start the build since my complex will not allow me to just live my life and work on my car....such a-holes lol. Anyways, so as a back up I've been contacting different shops to get an idea of cost in labor for the build. Most places want way to much $$$ and others require you purchase only their products. Currently I'm sourcing parts for a SRM K24 build, 93 or possibly e85 tune and if I go with e85 I'd consider doing rods just for safety reasons. This is and has been my daily driver and I'm not planning to hit insane awhp but a modest 450hp-500hp would be awesome for some spirited driving on the weekends.
So my question is has anyone taken there car to solo motorsports for service or know anyone that has? Obviously the cost of labor will be higher than if I would do it myself but without the use of garage I'm running out of options. I'd even consider dropping the car off to a experienced tuner if the price was right...hin hint if anyone wants to take me up on that offer!
