Whistle/wind noise at high speeds but turns off when vent is turned on

    Hello all,

What I have noticed is on windy days, at speeds greater then 100 km, I get a very loud whistling/wind noise coming into the cabin that goes away when I turn the vent/heat/blower on even at the lowest setting.

Any ideas where I can look because it is loud and bothersome.

    It's a 2005 audi a4 b6 1.8T 230,000 Km.

Let me know if you need more info.

    Thanks

A place between here and there

Look into your hvac blower motor, dampers, and cabin filter area.
I hate it when my car acts like a little bitch, treating me like a bitch
