I didn't think I would be listing this car anytime soon, but there are other things I'd like to divert my money too. Ill be back one day in a lotus :D
Anyway.. I have a 2006 Lotus Exige that I have owned for a year and a half. It has 48,000 miles on it. A bit high for an Exige but it has been maintained very well. I still have a copy of the car fax BEFORE I bought the car should you want to see it. Clean tittle car with a lien. I have put about 7,000 miles on the car myself including a drive from Reno to Las Vegas. It ran perfect in the 100 degree weather. The car is located in Reno, NV.
During my ownership I have added the following: (I still have the stock parts)
-ORE HID ballasts
-Innovation motor mounts (front and rear mounts, I have the side mounts)
-Ceramic coated Lanari Exhaust
-GRP rear panel delete
-GRP shift knob
-5.25 JL speakers front
-all metal Duralast thermostat (Toyota red coolant to replace the old)
-Gates serpentine belt
-GRP valve cover to crank case oil sling block off plates
-Powder coated valve cover and intercooler tubes

-Removed stock wing (still have it)

I am more than happy to send any pictures of the car or any information that can help your decision. I would have no problem driving this car across the country today. I am very confident in the way it runs. I have no knowledge of it being raced prior to my ownership, during my ownership I have done approximately 8 autocross days. I never had any issues with it at these events.
The only notable problems that I will do my best to document in pictures tomorrow after a quick rinse are paint defects. The clear coats was ripped up by a shop that did some of the PO's work and is around the engine lid, not very noticeable unless you are up close in the right light. More rock chips than I would like to admit on the front :( Other than that a few small defects I will try to picture. There are no cracks in the fiberglass. There is a small scratch from an object in the road on the lower portion of the front clam under the splitter.
Most of the OE smog equipment has been removed. The tune it has however allows it to pass OBD2 smog check. I am unaware if it would pass a sniffer. It has passed smog in my city twice as is.
I understand the price on these vehicles fluctuates and I understand my car is not perfect and has higher miles than some. I think a starting price of $42,000 is reasonable. I priced it according to comps on Lotus talk. I am in no hurry to sell this car, it will be nestled in the garage for the winter unless someone wants a good deal on a Lotus in a sunshine state ;) I am also interested in partial trade for a newer WRX or EVO X, any newer Audi models; Just ask. I cant do a strait trade since there is a lien on the car.

SO after crawling around the car in the garage on my hand and knees I think I have been able to picture most if the paint defects that I can find. NOW I dont want you to think these pictures represent the entirety of the car. Overall the car looks great and mostly I have to point these things out if I am trying to show someone. These pictures are intended to disclose as much information over the internet as possible.
To start, I refinished the headlights and had a star shield product put on them. They bubbled up and I was told they would clear up, and they never did. I have not taken them back. I can only assume the shield could be removed and then new stuff applied.
Next are the rock chips and aforementioned scratch on the front clam.

Most of these pictures were taken with the flash on to really show the defect. As I have said they are not as noticeable in person. I know the paint on this car very well as it has been regularly washed and waxed with high quality german products, clay bared twice in my ownership and ALWAYS allowed to air dry. No shammy towels were ever used. Always microfiber. The swirls in the paint are VERY minimal due to this.
I hope my ad has been written well and the car has been clearly depicted. Drop a reply if you think so.
Thanks!!
TEXT ME IF YOU ARE REALLY INTERESTED IN MORE PICTURES I CAN SEND THEM VIA TEXT.
