    changed out climate control module now get the following-

    Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    01794 - Control Module - Incorrect Chassis (VIN) Number
    35-00 - -
    Went to vags site but didn't see anything on climate control other than the error. Is there a way to re program with VAG. thanks

    You should be able to correct it by going to the Adaptation for the climate control module. Click on the drop down, and there "should" be something there to reset it to the correct VIN. My terminology might be off but there should be something there.

    thanks for the post I will check it out. thanks a lot. friggin code annoys me. Climate control works though. The bad one kept my fans running 24/7.

    Yes, if you enter the correct code value in the adaptation channel, the VIN will be correctly adapted in the control module.

    The code value is given in the lable file in VCDS with the title the part number of your controller, under the Adaptations section. Use notepad to view the text lable file. C:/Ross-tech/VCDS/labels/[controller part number.lbl]
