So I have to say I am impressed with these tires. Paid 222 a piece they come with a 50k warranty which I was like there is no way I will ever see that many miles. Just took the car in with 10k on these tires for rotation and balance, new at 10/32 and these were 8/32. So it may really happen and I have tracked another set in the past and driven through snow and ice. Quiet, solid tire. Would highly recommend these for an all around tire... BTW I drive my s7 hard every chance I get, almost the perfect car with the ecu/tcu apr tunes so to have this much tire left.

I just replaced all 4 today after one blew of after the pothole. However I wanted Michelin pilot super sport instead of any others. I will see how long they will last. My first set pilot sport A/S just 24k. I also had that continental dws on my C5 A6 few years ago and I did love them. They were quiet that's truth and ok on the snow. But I still had set of winters.
You probably know now that after your car is tuned it is 200+mph car so that means that your Audi is much stronger than your tires. I understand that not often someone drive that fast but if you will do, you would not like to be limited. Great car btw congrats

I have a set of wheels with the DWS and a set of wheels with the PSS. Honestly, for the type of driving, even aggressive driving, that people will generally do in a C7 car, the DWS work just fine. They also have a much better ride. You really need a full blown sports car driven aggressively to need what the PSS can deliver. They made a big difference on my old M3, but that was a high powered RWD car. Steering sharpness, however, is definitely better with the PSS.

I just replaced all four tire earlier this week. I went back an forth between the DWS and A/S 3+ and ultimately settled on the Michelins due to my experience with the PSS they replaced. I will see how these fair over time are far as wear and grip.

Swapped into the dws06 275/35/20 from the stock Dunlop sportmaxx 265/35/20. Steering response/sharpness certainly reduced due to softer tire walls vs the summer Dunlops. I now have a very good 4 season tire, perfect for east coast climate where I do make trips to the mountain in the winter. I don't have to deal with swapping twice a year and I have regained much needed storage space. FYI, NYC condos usually require you to purchase (vs lease) storage space in the building if you want it.. think paid ~$300 psf. If had a house/garage, I would certainly be riding on PSS, with dedicated winters.

I have not tried pss. It still is a 4500 lb sedan that is my daily driver in the midwest, and I not buying another set of tires. Especially at the price of pss which last 10k miles.

I have these tires, in short, I am quite happy with them in wet and dry conditions, definitely a decent well rounded tire. No pun intended... ;)

Tires with speed ratings are based on long, extended periods - meaning that if the tire is rated to 175mph the tire won't blow up or shred to pieces the second he exceeds 175. It'll be just fine, but he doesn't want to be over 175 for a long period which would never happen anyway.

I installed these also and really like them - but did you notice the car "floating," over the road for the first several hundred miles? Mine did this and was very concerned about my purchase at first. But since then they seem to be fine. Some sort of deeply-soaked oil in them that has to wear off? Another person in the B8/S4 section posted this and mine were the same way.

I have these now and love them. 45k miles in, which is solid, but they'll need to be replaced soon.

I'm actually moving to Chicago from the desert at the end of November. Does anybody have any opinions on whether these will work year round in that climate? Or is a dedicated winter set with these in the summer a better option?

I have Super Sports for summer, however, I use Conti DWS as my winter tires in Denver. They were awesome last year, plowed right through the snow with total control, never slid.

When I was shopping for my DSW 06's, I found that the 275/35-20's were $200 less than the 265/35-20's. Supply and demand I guess.

I think the "floating" is the sensation of an immediate improvement in ride. After a while, you probably get a little used to it.

Update on my experience with the tires, the set only lasted 25k miles. When I had them rotated at 10k they were wearing quite well and I thought I would make the 50k warranty. Not so much, discount tire took care of me and I only paid half price for the new set. $680 for all four. The new tires do float on the highway, didn't experience with my first set. Was driving back from family weekend and had the cruise on 90 and it was a windy day, had the suspension in comfort and yes the car floated. Didn't like it, so I put the suspension in dynamic and that helped a little. Had to double check the tire pressure, seems strange that the sidewall will firm up over time.
