    A7 grill parts number replacement

    Hi everyone,
so my girlfriend f'd up her A7 and got in a parking lot incident. the front grill is is damaged. I'm wondering if anyone would be able to help us identify the parts number that need to be replaced.

right now as far as i can tell, the grill, the emblem, and the license plate bracket/holder thing is broken. It'd be great if I could just find replacement parts on ebay and have a body shop put it back together. Is that possible? what do you guys think?

to complicate things, her A7 has the front camera, front parking sensors and night vision and all the tech options... I can see already the front grill has 2 sensor holes and an area for the camera to peak through. does that affect the type of grill we can possibly buy? (parking sensors and camera still working 100%)

The additional tech makes this quite an involved repair, and purchase of the OEM parts will be quite expensive. It's definitely a bumper off job.

You need to indicate model year. The facelift was MY2016. Here is a link to parts which you can search yourself http://audi.7zap.com/en/usa/

Parts are quite often on eBay, just search for front grill. Getting one with the correct adaptation for the tech may take a little longer to find.

An alternative option would be to upgrade the grill to S7 or RS7 style, using a non-OEM supplier. This would be a significantly cheaper option parts wise, although may incur a higher labour rate due the the additional work to fit the tech accessories.

thanks for the great suggestion! I'm not opposed at all to switching over to S7 or RS7 style using non OEM supplier. I have seen a few of those but they all seem to have the "S7" or "RS7" badge on them. Obviously that's not something I want on there.... are there suppliers that carry grills that don't have those?

you can swap badges easily enough, i wouldn't consider that an issue at all. Sourcing the right grill with the features you need an the look that you want is more of the challenge. Ebay is a good place to start. There are a few vendors that can source the aftermarket for you. Could ask ECS. Rus @ Dubstop has good connections. You'll likely be getting a chinese made grill unless you go OEM at 5x or more the cost.

yep, i browsed through ebay.. most of them do not seem to have the cutout for the camera. the few that do, do not come with a plate insert strip... finding the right grill is a lot of work!

What's her deductible? Might be cheaper and easier to make a claim and have it fixed oem...
