Blow Off Valve Adapter Spacer Atmosphere Vent BOV

First off, for those who don't care for this thing, great, I don't want to here about it.

I put a Forge one on, everything fit well, car is running like it suppose to, but the atmosphere vent is so quiet, it wasn't even worth the time. Is this due to the brand (which I can't see why), is it just the nature, is it beacuse I'm in the car, would it sound off more with an intake, the holes in the adapter too small?

you'll hear it mainly around 2500 rpm if you let off the gas pedal, if you let off before that it just sounds like steam or air brakes on a semi. also had the forge brand sapcer
i had it for almost 10k miles it was nice but ultimately took it off due to oil being sprayed all over the bottom of the car, O rings were good and and it wasn't loose even took it off cleaned everything up and put it back just to check and same issue

an open intake would accentuate the sound

I had the Forge BOV spacer on for a few months. If you let off the gas at a high RPM I heard the exact sound shown in the ECS tuning videos on the product page. It was pretty loud with the windows down and also noticeable with the windows up. I have a Carbonio intake and Spulen test pipe if that helps at all.

Forget the spacer and return it/ or sell it. Waste of money. Upgrade to the latest "D Version Diverter Valve" and go with the APR Carbonio or ECS Kohlefaser Luft-Technik Intake. If your looking for the turbo and BOV soun, from videos, info gathered and first hand experience the ECS kit is very loud. I don't mind it but 95% of the time you hear the turbo. Anything from partial to full throttle you hear the diverter valve. If strictly sound is the objective, go D Version valve and ECS intake. If performance is the objective, go D Version valve with a AFE dry flow filter and pick of your choice Turbo Inlet Hose.
MODS: Pretty close to everything and the kitchen sink.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure our cars already have the upgraded DV.

Edit: I found this out 5 years ago.

I changed the spacer in lieu of the GFB DV+ but a part of me still wishes for that turbo sound. I'll check out the ECS intake kit, did not know they made one.

I didn't bother to look at the original posters yr. Regardless on what you found however many years ago,the thread createor appears to be looking for sound over performance or function.

... the thread was created by me and that's what I'm getting at. You have the newest DV.

But for sound, yeah blow off valve isn't good for this car and there are threads on it. Intake, intake pipe and tune would help with that. I have the APR intake, intake pipe and tune and you can hear it when I get on it.

The guys in the U.K. Are raving over the G revision. They tested the D which leaks boost slightly, the G didn't leak at all. I myself run GFB

I run a BOV spacer. I have no issues with it and I like the sound. Matter of individual taste I guess.

My car has the updated DV, i still have the adapter, just took it off. This is just not as simple as putting one on my Focus ST I had and boom I had sound.
Maybe an intake pipe would help. What about that turbo muffler delete?

These cars need to run a diverter. A GFB is your best bet for an upgrade and sound
