I believe the true difference is height adjustment, Vagcom is still going to only allow what the limit is (17mm) iirc. The H&R Module allows you to lower the car another inch or so.

vagcom you're limited to at most 17mm lowering, with the h&r module you can lower up to 40mm.

As pointed out by others the module will lover the car more than coding . The other advantage is you can easily adjust the module and lower raise whenever you want

If you go lower than the maximum vagcom lowering with the H&R module, do you start getting error codes for being too low (suspension, headlight leveling errors)?

    Thanks for the info
I'm not trying to go too low, but hate to spend almost 2k when I can achieve a descent ride height with the vagcom
But by doing the vagcom, does it void any of the warranties

i'm at the lowest setting on the h&r module, when i get over 60mph i get an error saying the car is too low and it'll raise it a little, but that's the only error i get.

Thanks for the info. Do you need to restart the car for it to return to the lower height?

17mm is not enough of a difference from stock IMO. But as you said, it's the less costly route.

I'm also on the lowest setting of the H&R module and occasionally get the "too low" alert. While in dynamic (lowest setting) I do get some tire rubbing from the front under braking and aggressive turn-in. Mostly notice it while driving twisty hills roads.

no, once you get down to speed again it will lower it down the the lowest setting, also when it raises itself it I think it just raises to the height where the ecu deems safe, i don't think it'll raise it back to the top, i haven't driven next to my car in another car so i can't really comment lol.

it's been a while since i've driven the car without the module, also i always drive the car in dynamic mode so it's pretty harsh as is, i drive the car on a regular basis with my 3 and 5 year old, they don't complain, neither does my wife, but then again i'm used to driving pretty noisy/bumpy cars, even with the family lol. i run the ec sways, aleukreuz & all the 034 mounts, the car corners super flat now.

    Thanks guys
    I'll look into that
Car is currently at the dealership bc the trunk wouldn't close last night for some reason after I got it washed. Had to manually pull it down but it wasn't locking in all the way.
When I try to press the button to lower the hatch, it beeps 2 -3 times.
Dealership now telling me it's bc of my tint, the signal from the radio isn't getting through the glass to open/ close the trunk?? Told him he was full of it and not to blame the tint and to figure out what really was the issue.
Any of you guys with dark tint ever have this issue?

Although I agree with you that I don't think the tint is causing your issue, tint can have an effect on signal strength. My understanding is that many films used for tint have metal in them that can act like a Faraday cage blocking electrostatic and electromagnetic signals.

That said, they need to figure out what the real issue is.

True that. Also, even if that was the case with the signal being blocked by the tint, that would only really make sense when the trunk was closed, not with it opened. When its already open and not closing, there shouldn't be any signals being blocked, right?
Also, just FYI, I had added another amplifier and swapped the Bose subwoofer out for an 8in Kicker woofer, and when they scanned the car, they couldn't find any error codes.
