Hey guys, back two years later!
    This time a little happier!
Now rocking a 2000 Audi A4 1.8TQM ATW with a swapped head at some point. Sitting at 206k but a very healthy engine!
Was a rocky start for sure, paid 700 cash, with no power steering, went through two pumps and have since replaced the rack, both lines attached, and am awaiting a brand new pump in the mail to replace the whiny b*tch in there now!
I'm 2.4k into her at this point, but I'm so close to having a completely 100% car! Here's what's happened in the two weeks I've owned her

    Done:
Front drilled slotted rotors with ceramic pads
    Brand new rack(shop installed, regret!)
    New ps pressure line
    New ps return line
    New ps fluid
New outer tie rods for the new rack
3 of 8 control arms installed from kit
    Digital boost gauge
    Manual boost controller
New stereo kit with kenwood head unit (symphony)
    New kenwood door speakers
    New Pyle rear speakers
Kenwood 600w amp with two shot 8's lol
***Programmed key fob with one key!!(found what wires to jump to make door lock!) ***
** Found antenna wire for key fob and connected more wire to extend range**
    New front tires
    Drivers side door latch mechanism

    To do list:
Brand new Power steering power when she arrives
New timing belt with tensioner when she arrives (belt shows shadow of teeth now)
Installing pass front door latch mechanism(her handle stays up)
Both rear door latch mechanisms bc there both stuck on child safety
Pass rear window needs to be fixed, doesn't go down haven't looked
    Maf(only code cel throws!)

Would like to throw a stage one on her but I might wait a while, she's boosting 11-12 with the MBC, I had her set at 16 and she would stay at 16 in 3 4 5 would only spike in 1 and 2 and settle around 12 or so but this soon air my shitly old plugs. Got new plugs and the gap was all over .45 .42 .45 .41 all gapped to .30 and set MBC to 12 she's not nearly as snappy but she's happy though.
I plan to finish the control arms and get a 4 wheel alignment in hopes to get rid of the slight shake(not at steering wheel more at tires) and combat the rear inner tire wear. The shake was really bad before I changed the three control arms but ran out of time so I'll be finishing them by this weekend!

The car has zero rust, rockers are strong, just some chipped paint that's covered at top of front wheel well on the fenders.

I did the antenna extention mod and got a huge improvement! Had to do this because I had to be a good away from my driver's door for it to work, it's now around 20 feet😎👌
I got a new switch blade housing and swapped my stuff over to find was different battery setup but I made it work! When it came to programming I was screwed, as I only have one key, but I did finally figure out what two wires need jumping to make the car thinks it's being locked so you can do the programming 😎 can make a diy if anyone needs!

I'll get some pics uploaded tomorrow morningish once I get Photoshop going again, but it's good to be back into an Audi, those subis and there ROT were getting old!

Sadly the new rack decided to give out for some odd reason this am... so have a replacement on the way gonna be doing that one myself pretty upset after it just cost me 860 to have it put in with the new lines.
    Pretty upset:(
But I will be doing my timing rest of my control arms and the rack and new pump all next week when I get everything in the mail!

This am I added some fluid and got my power steering back, I feel like the shop that did it used old junk fluid .
So I'm beyond happy to not be digging into the rack like I planned 😎👌
After she got power steering back, I decided to work on her a little and am happy with the progress.

Passenger door handle now returns nicely, and I adjusted the latch and the window frame bc it had space and we could hear wind.

Tore into the drivers rear latch and got that handle hooked back up so the inside handle works again!

    Pics in a few!

Change of plans, I checked my tbelt today to realize the kid wasn't lying, I found the barely warn lettering and it's not a bosh belt, so I'll be sending the belt back! Reason for checking was today I was pulling in first hard and my car slammed like a fuel cut, so I let off to find I lost power I could barely move and it wouldn't idle just died, replaced brand new plugs, and didn't fix it so I limped her home. After some checking around I need a new tbelt cover, but my belt is near new! But my MAF!!!! Car won't run with it plugged in, so I'm sending my tbelt kit, waterpump, and thermo back and ordering an OEM BOSCH MAF.
Shes running now unplugged but a little bouncy idle, really happy considering it wouldn't even idle being plugged in.

    Some better pics

Change of plans, my tbelt is alot healthier then I thought(found the lettering that's near new barely faded) so returning the tbelt kit with pump and thermo so I can get a new maf tom.

Today in a hard first gear oil she slammed on me lost all power, wouldn't idle or anything thought I blew her, tried plugs and nothing. Limped her home and after some reading unplugged my maf, started running again! So a NEW or dealer refurb will be in order!
Fyi, the dig boost gauge only goes to -14 vac but my car sits right at 28 with a norm gauge 😎👌

Are you sure some intake piping didn't pop off? Considering that it runs better without the MAF that's what it sounds like to me.

Yes I'm sure, she sits at -28 at idle, and boosts fine. She simply wouldn't run with the old maf connected.
New maf, air filter and me destroying one hose clamp and I've been driving two days now with zero issues and no check engine.
First thing I checked was a leak!

I thought I had internal damage of some sort because it wouldn't hold idle like no compression running 12psi on stock with a shit maf, new one and she purrs 👌😎

    Little update,
So two bottles of new fluids and my whine is gone, so I want to shoot the shop that put old nasty fluid in my power steering when they charged me 90 for the shit!

At this moment, I have returned my timing kit, as the belt is much healthier then my paranoid self though(can see the name on belt with very minimal fading), and have returned the P's pump as she works good now!

Plans: finish the last 5 control arms in hopes to get rid of the slight bounce I have and check balance

Install rear drilled slotted rotors with ceramic pads to match the front( I think drivers side pad is on medal constant noise last two days that's deathening)

Rear tires, and then an alignment

I plan to tune her in the future as well, just not sure when.

She's also going on day 4 no check engine light 😎😎👍👌
