I opted to make an item that fit snugly into the dash, covering the stock MMI screen.

I loaded it up with a few powerful earth magnets and covered it with fake leather that looks pretty close to what the dash color is.

Then got an LTE equipped android tablet for $200, threw some magnets on the back, and now have an android based head unit running the most up to date operating system with maps, music streaming, hotspot, camera, Netflix, mail, text, torque, an App Store, etc.

It streams to a Bluetooth add on for the MMI system and sounds great. It can easily be popped off of the need arises, and poof, you have a tablet ready to use. Only downside is that it needs to be charged, but it's not really that big of a headache.

Hi aldsa. I'll try to put a little diy together to show how I made the mount. Took about 20 minutes, cost about $20, and has been a pretty solid solution so far.
