    75,000 Mile Service

Just got quoted $1,230 + tax from a local dealer (Princeton Audi) for 75,000 mile service (which includes S-Tronic service). Just curious if this is what other people are paying. I will likely do it at an indy shop since it seems crazy expensive.

Yep, sounds in the ball park for the dealer. You can buy Audicare to cover the 75k and 85k service for about $ 800-850. That's probably going to be my plan as I am at 65k now.

Was about to suggest the above. The Audi Care Select for 75k/85k mile services is around $800 which seems like a no brainer with the DSG having to get serviced at 75k.

Is that Princeton, NJ? If so, take the car to EuroTech in Mahwah for the service.

I want to be south, not more north. Thanks though. I have a bunch of good indy shops not terribly far that I'll likely do.

Mine wanted $ 750 for that service, but I ended up doing my own plugs, cabin and air filter, which is the bulk of it all, and just let them do an oil change for $ 125.

my car goes in today for 75k service. bought the extended audicare package at my 65k service it was around $850 iirc, which seemed like a good deal since the 75k was about 1k, and then the 85k service is probably just a glorified oil change, but pays for itself and then some...

Ah ok sorry. I don't know how close or where anything is in jersey. Anything is better than the dealer tho.

Was talking to my mechanic about replacing the spark plugs. He replied to me "Why?They aren't bad at 55K." I tend to agree. Now have 70k on the original plugs. Its not that I don't want to do it, but just need a real reason to do it. Same thing with the Supercharger belt.

Changed out my plugs at 75k, and they looked OK, but glad I did as they were original I believe. The supercharger belt was in ok condition as well, but the serpentine/accessory belt was actually in pretty bad shape. Glad I went ahead and changed all 3 items, along with DSG fluid and filters of course

It's the difference between preventative and corrective maintenance.

Then why wait until they're failing? That's the entire reason for PM and having a maintenance schedule. Your car obviously, but I don't agree with your mechanic.
