    Vacuum Connections

    Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    I am in the process of installing a 2002 Allroad Engine in m 2000 S4, I got most everything connected except these 3 vacuum connections. I bought the car without many of the original vacuum hoses, so I have no idea how it was connected originally.

    The booster connection #3 on the picture, on the allroad is connected to the electric vacuum pump. The S4 doesn't have it, Should I just cut the line and cap it? Is the S4 connection just between the manifold and the booster? Anyone have a picture of that line? Is there a different version of the hose?

    #1 on the picture I am guessing is the vacuum reservoir line, I think it needs to connect to #2, but the lines are in different spot. Any clarifications?

    The original brake booster hose tee'd the accordion and manifold to the brake booster. Just rip out the brake booster hose and replace it with a check valve and a hose that goes to the manifold, plug the hole in the accordion.

    Details here -> http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...e-Booster-Hose

    The other two I can't really help you

    My Accordion does not have a plug, I think the 2000 cars didn't come with a connection there. I'll make a new hose with check valve.

    What about the suction pump? Both the old style and new style have one in there, can it be removed?

    Yes, stick the check valve in the firewall rubber grommet, and run a line to the back of the IM. Nothing else needed.

    This is what the check valve should look like (although probably not yellow), big end goes in firewall

    Verify that the line number 1 leads to vacume tank in front fender. If so connect that rubber hose to the black check valve circled in Dark blue and remove the black hardline leading to ur number 2.(in green)

    And as far as 3 goes. Do what they said. Get rid of the stuff I also put in green. And then place check valve where I circled light blue and run Line to intake manifold.
