No one drives an Avant around here.

... I kid, I kid. Welcome! The Avant looks nice.
Plenty of info in here and even an Avant-specific section in the forums.

    Welcome aboard, Froski!

I have an '03 Avant 3.0 Quattro Sport, which was originally a 5-speed tip. I manual swapped it though, it's not a difficult job.

Thanks man! Manual does sound good though! Might be a pretty penny I assume. Thinking about doing some engine work but idk where to start, and sometime next year I wanna work on the cosmetics portion

The aesthetics are pretty easy. You just need to decide what sort of look you're after:

    OEM.
    OEM+.
    Aftermarket.

There are no good or bad ways to alter the look of your car - just remember, you're doing it strictly for you, not anyone else. I could post a few pictures of my own Avant, if you want some ideas. I would start with the wheels - they could do with being spaced further out, or replaced, if your funds would stretch to a set of 18's.

Then suspension. There's a lot out there, from fixed height lowering springs, and a decent set of dampers - Eibach Sportline Springs and Bilstein Yellows are a good combination, or height adjustable coilovers.

Body wise, I would keep it clean - painted lowers will really alter the look of your car. Or you can go with OEM USP front and rear valences, and door blades. You could also go with S4 door blades.

depends on where you are and the cars around your area but i picked up an entire 02 3.0 that was in a front end collision for 700 which had every part needed for the swap.
Never argue with an idiot, they'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Ewwwwwww an avant!!! :), really just look around and decide where you want to go with it, I have a TIP 3.0 to and can't really go with manual due to shit knees so I found an s4 paddle shift wheel and it can be pretty fun.
03 Avant 3.slow, H&R sways, custom 2.5" exhaust, RNS-e, Airlift with v2, Rotiform ccv 19x10 square set up, Recaros and S4 paddle shift wheel cause I'm old and my knees hurt :)

I definitely have a color scheme in mind! When I first got the car, I was suggested 18s. I really have been looking into flat 5 type wheels. & I've been searching for suspension so you're helping me out with that one.

Hmmm.. maybe I should keep an eye out then. Jersey has some shitty drivers so I'm sure I'll find something not too far

My Avant cost me $730, and the donor 3.0 V6 Quattro Sport sedan $580. Both '03 models. I've parted out the donor, and made just over $935 so far.
