    What gauges is everyone running?

What gauges is everyone running? I have searched all over the internet and have found very little support for gauges with these cars and the only gauge that I really see offered also is a boost gauge. The P3cars vent gauge seems nice and I like that it mounts in the vent to keep it looking rather clean, they offer 2 different options, the multi-gauge and the boost/battery gauge. The multi just plugs into the OBDII port and displays what the ECM sees, but if you have a tune that adjusts those values then they could be off. The other one is a standard analog gauge that taps right into the intake for boost reference. Then there is the UltraGauge, they have 2 models, the EM Plus and the MX 1.3, both plug into the OBDII port. The EM Plus has performance measurements and looks like it may be wide-band capable, and the MX 1.3 looks like its for newer vehicles (2008+) and can look at a few other hidden sensors. The other one that I found was Defi-Link they have a lot of different gauges like oil and water temp and pressure as well as boost/vac and EGT. It is from China though, but it doesn't seem like some cheep Chinese eBay crap, it has what looks like a pretty complex controller and seems legit, also you can't just buy it anywhere you have to go through and authorized dealer or wholesaler. So, is anyone running these? If so how do you like them? Are there other ones out there that I missed?

I have a Innovate 52mm Boost Gauge and I want to sell it. I dont like the column pods and would much prefer a vent pod.

I kinda think all the pods are dumb, the car has a bloody display right in front of your face as it is, it just doesn't display what you want it to.

There's stuff to do that (fis control) but costs a fortune. (330 EUR)

There is this Russian one too, but it is more involved (need to solder in cluster) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4rM9b3M8FY
    I'm not sure it's cost.

edit: looks like ru one is 12k rubles, like $185 USD or so. hmm

There is simple-er ru one that is more like fis-control (keeps stock display, requires tapping into cluster harness). I wonder the price of that (much less complicated circuit)

I have a mechanical Podi boost gauge mounted to steering column, does the job, no complaints.

Same setup for about 3 years now.

Simple to install and clean looking.

So the only other gauge anyone is running is boost? What about EGTs and fuel pressure?

Maybe the guys with big turbos. On a stock turbo with a shelf tune, I wouldn't be too concerned with EGT or fuel pressure unless I'm having an issue.

With these engines, I would be more inclined to monitor oil pressure but I don't even do that.

Doesn't that dash monitor oil pressure? Sorry I haven't even got around to getting the car off the trailer. And I'm used to diesels where the first thing you do is get gauges, boost and EGT, trans temp if you are auto and fuel pressure to the injection pump to make sure the lift pump is working and doesn't kill it.

It monitors oil pressure in the sense that if it's too low, it will trigger the dummy light. At that point it's a matter of "do not drive the car anymore until you resolve the issue" which, in my opinion, is not good enough and seldom too late.

Diesels are entirely different from gasoline engines, which I'm sure your aware, and if your planning on doing any type of towing, as most diesel truck owners do, it's important to monitor vitals.

A place between here and there

If stock turbo, oil pressure and boost/vacuum will suffice. Get what suits you. I dont have a b6 but have two dual vei gauges. Boost, oil pressure, afr, and iat.
I hate it when my car acts like a little bitch, treating me like a bitch
