Opinions on these Stripes for my A5?

Hey guys,

So I've been on the market for a few months and was looking to put some sort of stripe to put on my A5. I came across these stripes and figured what better place to ask then the forums as to how they look and if I'm paying a decent price for them. The stripes are from a country in South Africa called MeanWraps. I spoke to one of the employees there and he said he would sell me the set for $1,500.00.

My question is, am I overpaying for these stripes? $1,500.00 is just to buy the stripes, not the labor of putting them on because the company is located in South Africa and I'm in California lol are there companies that can make this kind of a stripe set here in the States for a lot cheaper price? Or is $1,500 reasonable for stripes like these.

Seems like a lot of money for some stripes. Even then, I wouldn't do it.

It's kinda cool I guess. Pricing seems super high. I'm betting a local shop would do them for half that, maybe less. Give these guys a call...

I'm not a fan of stripes on A5 but if you like it, go ahead! However $1500 for those stripes to me is really expensive. maybe I could top up abit more for a full body wrap. Try finding other cheaper options.

not my style. What I like about Audis is the understated power and the classy look. Stripes makes it look like a low end camaro trying to look fast.

South Africa is a country, and an expensive one at that! I'd find someone locally who could make these and install them for same or less.

Well, after something like this:

the stripes look positively restrained! But, yes, go local, because SA really IS expensive, and a local shop will be able to fix you up for WAY less.

I'm not a fan of the stripes at all, but that camo doesn't look too shabby. The stripe doesn't actually look too bad when over the camo. For whatever reason, camo wraps look best on Audis to me. Maybe I feel that way because Jon Olsson's RS6 made me like those types of wraps in the first place...
