N249 shouldn't affect normal idle. the N249 is the solenoid which controls the Diverter valve. the computer sends a vacuum signal under certain conditions which opens the diverter valve. there is a lot of talk about deleting this but it is better to remain under normal function. main function is to protect the turbo from compressor wheel back spin and to regulate partial throttle which makes the car feel less jerky from on/off boost.
The n112 solenoid controls the SAI pump on your cold starts. Again this is controlled under certain conditions, main one being humidity. It sends a vacuum signal which opens the Combi valve at the back of the engine so more air can be directly pushed from basically your air filter straight through your exhaust valves into the cat converter. Main function is to heat the cat converter up, emissions related. this operation runs for 30seconds to a minute.
this problem you are having...is it during this initial 30 second high idle startup? if it still idles poorly even after this, you shouldn't even consider the solenoids being an issue. I say either MAF issue, boost leak, SJP blown out, or you need a tune up (spark plugs, front o2 sensor). go to autozone or better yet a dealership, have them scan the codes and post them on here.
