How to? Euro Plate And Headlights?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Ok, the first two pictures are the front of my A6. I want to get a Euro plate on the front, do I need a special grill? I can't find any holes to bolt a plate onto. In the third and fourth pictures you can see the euro plate on these euro model A6s, what do are they doing in Europe? Adding a bracket to the front end? Or are they using a different grill that has holes directly in it to bolt a euro plate to? Or are they using an OEM bracket that I can get my hands on?

Also, I really like the headlights in the third and fourth pics. Can I just buy them and easily swap mine out for them?
    Thanks guys

For all of the a/s6 I've seen, they just screw the plate into the grill. Looks like cheap crap, but I haven't seen any different.

That doesn't sound like it would last. I mean, it's just a plastic grill. And then put metal screws in that? IDK

I am curious, when you buy an A6 in Europe, how does the euro plate mount on the front?

Not sure on the euro plate, can only speak to usdm. The lights are led and I believe there are a few people and threads detailing the upgrade. IIRC, it is an expensive upgrade.

The correct Euro plate mounting involves changing the centre area of the grill.

Our number plates are then fixed to the centre grill mount.

There are actually a few grill options for the centre area: A blank filler plate (which the OP picture shows) A USA plate adaptor - which guys with no legal requirement complain about and usually swap for the blank plate. A Euro style filler. All are options from your dealer.

OP has a 6 which doesn't use a filler plate
