Swapping a4 trunk lid for s4 lid cant wait

just wanted to see if anyone would be so kind as to share pics of their A4s after an s4 trunk swap. I have a black 2013 a4 bone stock other than tint and a few minor exterior upgrades and was wondering what it may look like.

mainly what I want to see is what it looks like paired with bone stock ride height

Silly question, but whats the difference? Are the fin/spolier lines different? badging different? I was looking at some google images and can't tell the different minus the badges.

The integrated lip is larger on the S4 trunk.

i almost got s line bumper but it was another 350 bucks more than base bumper and i was already covering 250 dollar diff in trunk price

sad for me that i have a lowly base model A4 with like 2 small mods and you have a ridiculously well put together specimen and im fretting over a difference you couldnt be bothered with cause your car is straight fire!

I would have splurged for the bumper instead, opens up more options down the line. Whatever place you're getting the work done at sounds like their milking you for money. They can easily get the bumper and the trunk covered without a dime from your pocket. I know because a truck backed into me and put 2 holes in my A5, one in my trunk and the other in my bumper. I had both replaced with the S5 trunk and bumper at no cost to me. These body shops make a shit load of money off the insurance companies because they charge the maximum amount for labor. The price difference between the parts is minimal and they usually write it off. And the difference between the normal A4 bumper/trunk and S4 bumper/trunk is certainly not even close to what they are quoting you. You are definitely bring screwed if you have to pay anything to make this change happen. I would threaten to take my business elsewhere and say that you got everything covered for free. Ask them to give you the money that was given from the insurance company. I bet they would change they're mind.

yeah i was skeptical but also saw a difference in the retail price of the s line bumper and trunk lid when i did some research but i know full well they could easily do this for nothing. my guess is they are gonna give me some bull about how the s4 bumper they found was in a different color so it took some more labor to repaint, i will raise a stink. meanwhile side note, enterprise gave me a cherry red camaro lol only the v6 but still 335 hp so im not too dissapointed in having a rental for a few weeks

DAMMIT. I did not know the S4 and A4 lids were different. I did the preFL to FL upgrade in the rear, but got the A4 lid :(

yeah shonsed, lets just say it was returned with a qtr inch less tread on the rears

i got my A4 back with the S4 lid and couldnt be happier!
its such a subtle though perfect mod for an A4,
its really how the car is supposed to look IMO, almost like they designed the S4 first then toned back when they designed the A4

ill post some pics tomorrow!

i debadged the A4 and 2.0t as well and it really does clean up the back, i like it so far
