Anyone have any experience wrapping a C7 model with Xpel Stealth film? Positives / negatives? Also any idea about the cost? From what I have read, it seems like a good mod as long as you don't have a white car (causing a yellowish tint) - any feedback would be appreciated. . .

I know Chudiddy did a stealth wrap on his Sepang Blue S6 and it looked great. I've seen a few cars in person and they look incredible if the matte finish is what you're after. It's a win-win. Protects your paint and gives you the finish you want. Seems that a full wrap goes from 4500-6500 depending on installer/car.

It's a great mod. I love it, as it gives a bit of a satin appearance (as opposed to dull/completely flat). It's expensive, but definitely worth it, as smaller nicks will heal themselves.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd do it in heartbeat except I'd find an installer that removes the door handles. I opted not to have those removed on a brand new car fearing some sort of electrical problems.

You can see some close up pictures in my album of the "reliefs" as they call it. They look worse in the pics but have pretty much disappeared over time once it dries out. You can't notice anything unless u are really close.

Everyone that sees my car is absolutely amazed by the look and always assumes it's paint. It does exactly what it's supposed to do which is protect the finish. I even had a small rock chip in the wrap that healed itself with a heat gun. Expect job to cost anywhere from 4-6k depending on how reputable the installer is. Don't skimp out on it though, do ur research and find someone who is reputable.

Best part is that I can take the wrap off and essentially have a brand new car all over again. I plan on keeping it on another year then either taking it off or wrapping another color.

Might consider this in a couple of years if I get bored of standard Sepang. You got a decent price there too as I was near GBP 1300 just for the full front end/ mirrors and boot strip with Suntek

Looks sick! I just cant justify spending 4-6K on something you or someone else can just peel off...

I have Suntek PPF full frontal, lower corners of rear bumper and the boot strip. Been very happy with the product and looks great when it's cleaned and polished. I absolutely echo what Chudiddy says, find a competent installer.

If l had to do it again, my one recommendation would be try and have it fitted when it's not raining, as l had some issues with it unsticking on wrapped edges and had to have it corrected. I paid £1500, which included ceramic coating on all non PPF areas.

That's my only gripe, prices are all over the place. The value I quoted was just for Suntek instal, my detailer did the machine polish correction for the installer and after it was wrapped applied GTechniq CS Black package to the entire car so all in it was just over £2k.

Suntek themselves are useless, I called them for advice and likely cost of their product and they don't even have a list of UK installers. Was told to google it! They have no interest in customer service, just selling their film.

Had my white car wrapped in matte black. Looks great but:
    (i) I am going back this month to redo wrapped areas on the car that have chipped from highway debris and to apply PPF to those same areas. They finally have a PPF that will not affect the look of the matte finish; and
(ii) Make sure the front bumper is NOT removed during the wrapping process or else it'll require a recalibration of ACC and braking guard.

It's OK to remove the front bumper, HOWEVER it's not OK to remove the sensors from the bumper or you will have (expensive to fix) alignment errors.

Can the bumper be removed separately from the sensors? Is this easy to do? I have to make these guys aware of this when I take the car back in 2 weeks from now.

The ACC sensors are mounted directly on the bumper. Remove the bumper with the sensors attached. For wrapping purposes, remove the ACC grills then wrap. DO NOT REMOVE THE SENSORS FROM THE BUMPER.

If you are wrapping the car, you do NOT need to remove the bumper!!

As a first time wrapper here, a question: what are the most difficult parts of a C7 to cover? Door handles? I just want to make sure I pay close attention to the areas where the installer could screw up / do a poor job. . .
