Anyone modify an awe intake hose?

I got an awe intake hose for free from a friend and it appears to be longer than the c6 hose. Anyone modify one of these for our cars?

I modified a 034 B8 S4 intake hose. Just had to cut down the intake box end and voila.... supercharge wine ftw....

I didn't cut the intake box... what i did was basically eye and measure the amount of intake hose i need to cut out and did a rough cut. Then test fit it and luckily after the first cut i took the right amount of intake hose out. I didn't modify the intake box at all

Ok well after a lot of work I got the hose installed. The awe hose is wire reinforced so it did not want to stretch and fit over the box side but finally got it. I also removed the foam from the box. I'm a little disappointed, I can barely here any whine. I made her it 20% but was hoping for more. Is it the stock filter keeping it so quiet still? I got the hose for free so not worried about it too much.

I run an open air box for the moment. I utilize the bottom of the stock air box and run without the top. The temps are much cooler now, so when driving, there isn't much of a temp change in the intake air. It does get hotter at idle. I plan on making a heat shield soon for it to block off some of the engine heat. I feel the stock box is quite restrictive. The throttle response is definitely quicker with an open air box and the SUPERCHARGER WHINE is AWESOME!

I can definitely hear the supercharger whine...even my wife noticed the whine...
