    So we were on our way back from Austin from picking up a jetta for my 17th year old and my wife was driving my car and says that a 2hr message was flashing on the dash. I have never seen that while driving...

    Completely normal. Flashes every two hours. You can hit the stalk to move to the menu and stop it if you like.
