    What mileage has your brake pad sensor hit?

    I'm curious how quickly others have had their wear sensor go off and tell you you need new pads. Mine just went off at 26.5k miles.

    Looking at them, its gotta be 4mm or more left. Hard to tell, basically they're at the point where the beveled portion is worn down and its just the full part of the padding there.

    Oh, and just curious, does the red BRAKE dash warning light go on and stay on when the sensors go, or is that a separate thing? That didn't happen on my B6.

    I'm the second owner not sure if the first one changed them but probably not. The car had 20k when I got it.

    Mine just came on at 69k I'm not the first owner but carfax doesn't show the brakes were changed. It says calipers replaced at 12k? lol I don't trust car fax at this point. Knowing what shops did to my car vs. what they have listed they did in my carfax don't match up.

    Id say after 32k, I had <10k to go when I removed the rear pads. No light, was pretty low to me though.

    22K ... light came on as well.. driving in rush hour traffic 60% of the time.. other 40% going to work early and braking from 120 mph down to 20 mph to get off the exit

    Interesting observation.

    Right now I'm debating getting just pads or doing rotors as well. The rotors arent lipping. If pads are only lasting 25k miles, doubt I'll get that much less life out if them if the rotors arent changed.

    22k miles mine went off. Had 1/32 left on the pad when i replaced everything.

    23k. Pads looked about half worn. Drove for another month or so on them, but could have gone much longer. Just used it as an excuse to switch to Akebono. The dust on the OEM pads is brutal, especially for someone who is not obsessed with washing the car.

    I'm at around 23k. Just swapped out the stock pads for the akebono ceramics today. The front pads were significantly more warn then the rears. My sensor hadn't been tripped yet, but I'm sure it was close looking at the thickness remaining.
