    Funny who notices the S6

The car is sublimely a sleeper but does seem to draw attention from a few:

    1. Other S and RS owners of course
    2. BMW 3 series (I have owned a E46 M3 competition package and Z4 M coupe so no disrespect meant)
    3. Dodge Chargers and Challengers

Otherwise, the car does not draw any attention unless I am deeper into the throttle with the AWE exhaust.

To me it is perfect, I don't have to worry about people trying to race me when I have my family in the car. I love the sleeper nature of this car so much. I let my neighbor who has been a long time A6 owner, and friend, drive my car yesterday. He punched it and giggled like a school girl. Then immediately asked if he could do it again. His comment was that he never would have guessed this large car could move so quickly.

I am wondering if you all have had the same experience with how well the car blends and where you do get spotted?

My S6 gets hardly any looks. My last D3 S8 was an eye magnet. Night and day difference

Agree overall. People who are into cars have an idea that the car is somewhat "tuned up" even in stock form. However, depending on your mods, the car can look more menacing. My car is black with black optic, lowered, has wider wheels and tires, and a CF rear diffuser. I think it definitely looks the part. However the attention is nothing compared my Cayman. I have had people actually video my car while driving on numerous occasions. I get comments EVERY time I am stopped to fill up with gas. Constant, stares, thumbs up , etc, etc.

I totally agree. Audi guys know it is a sleeper with the V8TT. A6 guys know it is superior. Otherwise it is generally overlooked. Car dudes will see it is lowered with wheels and good cosmetics but are surprised to hear about the power.

Best luxury street sleeper I've ever owned. My S6 is black with tints on the windows. Most just think it's a regular Audi. My prior car was a 2012 CTS-V. It was black too and most thought it was a regular Cadillac until it started. No tune or anything but the car made a serious muscle car rumble. The S6 is just such a polite polished car until you put your foot in it! Love it!

From Belgium here, many RS6 here and that 'beast' is known by many. Lots of A6 here as well....but odly almost no S6 around here (well if you have money for an S6 optioned, almost all go for the RS6...). In a way wish i had the extra money for an RS6 but price difference was too big, instead went for an S6 with almost all options (that are usefull and needed) including ceramics. Tuned and exhaust modded, ultimate sleeper :). Not drawing attention....unless i open the throttle and leave them behind. Love my S :).
*we have a car festival every year in my local town with various luxury and exotic cars. All eyes turn when the known cars pass, not on the S....but again, once on the throttle they like WTF? Guess most don't know it is kinda a detuned RS6 :) and simular if tuned/exhaust modded.

This. If car is left stock, many have no idea what it is, except enthusiasts. If the car is lowered, with wheels, exhaust, etc, sticks out a little more.

I live in an area filled with Benz, Porsche, BMW, Audi, etc....I have seen ONE C7 S6 in my area in the last 3 years. Car is not only a sleeper but it is super rare.

I am not exaggerating, I see at least 2-4 RS7s every day.

I see very few S6's also...coming from LA to now Dallas...even more so. I love the fact that they are rare...production numbers, if I remember, are only like 1400 per year (not sure if that was just US or global - probably just US)...but that is not a lot of us. YAY!!!

I must say my S5 drew so much more attention than my S6 does. I think the S5 is more visually appealing, but the S6 does not stand out from an A6 very much. It doesn't help that A6's are a dime a dozen in NJ. I probably see 5-6 of them every day on my commute to work. I've only seen one other S6 on my commute twice now.

Think of it from a positive perspective. The cops aren't paying as much attention to your car either, until you hit the gas pedal.

It's sporty enough looking that more people than not mostly know "something," is up with this car, even the quad-tip exhaust offers a hint.
