Satellite Radio with Factory Radio

Hey all,
Looking at an 08 A4 S-Line with the regular non-nav radio.
When I pressed the "SAT" button, all it said was "NOT AVAILABLE"

Does this mean that the radio is not satellite radio capable? ie. it needs a satellite antenna, or does it always say that when it doesn't have a current SiriusXM subscription?

Means satellite module needs to be added. I have radio with module but no subscription and get a message to enable a subscription.

1) I have a satellite receiver for sale, PM me if interested.
2) I get this all the time. I have an audio kit connected to the sat radio to play music from my iPhone. It intermittently pops up, have no idea why. After 5 or 6 times pressing the button, the phone would finally connect. Not sure if you keep pressing the button you'll get to the Sirius/cm channel to activate your unit.

A quick google search looks like they're anywhere from $100-300. For that price, I might as well put a touch screen nav unit in the car..

You can find them for 50$ easily in the classifieds section, you just gotta be patient and watch for them

Or you do like I did and get the one from Sirius so that you can rewind pause and fast foward that sht, then wire it's antenna through the cars lol, you just won't have the terrestrial reception, but I avoid cities at all costs anyways lol

Also you will need to vag com it in and there is a switch or a plug you have to move under the drivers side kick panel to install the oem module, it's not plug n play unless someone removes the module and sold it separately

Yeah, I read that in the writeup, that sat has to be turned on (i think, or maybe that was the aux?).
I might just go with an aftermarket touch screen at this point. Get aux, BT, and sat.
