    Installing UK seats in US car?

    Has anyone put UK-spec seats into a US car? I have no idea what needs to be done to make this work and not get an airbag light. For reference, here's a pic of the seats I will be installing, possibly after some upholstery work.

    There is no functional or wiring difference between the "UK" right hand drive seats and the seats for left hand drive cars. The mounting bases are the same, with the exception that the right side seat has the seat adjustment controls on the outboard side/right side, compared to the left seat with the controls on the left side.

    Maybe it's because they are B7 seats then, but I threw them in my old B6 for a bit and had an airbag light.

    B7 = dual stage airbag

    B6 = single stage airbag.

    That is your problem

    I thought this only applied to the driver's and passenger's airbags (steering wheel and dash fascia).

    switch in the seatbelt latch or something could be failed on the new seats, that gives a light. What does the airbag controller say the problem is?
