1997 A4 - Suspension (Lower and UpperArms) Kits Reasonable Quality and Price Options

Hi,

I am looking for a reasonable ratio quality - price Suspension (Lower and UpperArms) Kits.
I see the genuine kit is 1.5k USD, while the aftermarket sells for 150 to 250 USD, but I cannot really get the reviews on how well the perform after some time. I read some fail very quickly.

I am not looking into sports kits, but I want a reasonable kit, so I do not need to change parts after few months - that seem to be the case for some kits.

What do you use? How did they perform?

I've been looking into redoing mine again recently. Best options seem to be-

-FCP Euro - ~$200-250
-Meyle HD - ~$400-450
-034 Density Line- ~$400

Don't think I've ever seen a kit go as cheap as $150, but I'd be wary of it. Personally I am already a bit iffy about the FCP Euro kit at $200. It comes with a lifetime warranty, but you still need to take into account the time it takes to replace the part, the inconvenience of having a vehicle down, plus you probably want an alignment after fucking with your suspension ($100+).

MEYLE HD from FCP highly recommended. Very good looking piece of kit. I cheaped out and went with FCP kit on my S4. Regret it

I've used FCP arms in all of my current and previous Audis, out of the cheap control arms I've never had to change one yet, URO parts, MOOG, Mevotech, MTC all have had low mileage failures, always the balljoint getting sloppy. If I ever have to get a whole set of arms again I'll probably go with the Meyle HD set. The plus side of running shitty control arms is that the pinchbolt never has time to seize up again

I have FCP. No complaints at all. Regardless of the kit, make sure you torque the bolts with load on the suspension!
