Are these the correct rear headrests for a 2014 S4? The ones on my 2010 looked much better....

They don't look exactly like mine. Mine fit flush with the trapezoidal leather section of the seat and the bottom edge of the side of the headrest. On mine, it is arched with it being longer in the front than on the back. Fit and shape is similar to the headrest in the center seat. I wonder if they might be A4 headrests. It is not unusual for Audi to use alternative parts if they don't have the standard parts when building the car. Doesn't seem to be a real reason to swap them. Are you the original owner? if not, perhaps they somehow were damaged by the original owner, who replaced them with A4 units? BTW, mine is a 2011,

Looks pretty close to the ones my 2011 came with. I didn't like how they blocked the view out the review mirror. I attempted to purchase earlier versions which were smaller in size, but then decided to just take all 3 out and stored them in the house. Since we don't have anyone sitting in the rear seats, there really isn't any need for them. Not fond of the holes in the top of the rear seat backs, but I've gotten used to it over 6 years of ownership.

Yep they are correct, my 2010 and 2011 s4s had smaller ones...my 2014 had the bigger ones in your pic. My 2016 S5 has the bigger ones like your pic also. Not sure what year they did the switch I'm guessing 2012 as my buddy with a 12 had the bigger ones and wanted to swap with my 2011.

Yeah, no idea why Audi did that. Makes for bad visibility out the back window. The 2010 ones are perfect... sit down low and when needed, you raise them and use them, but that's hardly needed. They are perfect. Some people try to find them and then swap them out with the older ones. It's an easy swap, no big deal.

I also am not a fan that they took the S4 logo away in the tears since they were there in my B8

Wow i never realized how bad those are/look. The 2010 version is the best, it looks like it's built into the seat and only extends about an inch higher than the back of the seat rest. I have full view of the rear window.

I'm not really sure why they took the S4 imprint off the rear seats in the B8.5. Anyone know?

Wow, those are really high. The ones in my 2010 are much lower and don't impede rear visibility. Like Dr GP said, almost the same height as the middle one. In fact, they are slightly lower than the middle one.

I bet I know why they changed the design. If you sit back there you will see that the default height of the headrest sits right on your neck (depending on your torso height). Kind of dangerous, I guess, for people that don't adjust it. I only have kids sitting in the back of my car, so I don't lose any sleep over it.

Wow, I never realized that Audi went through so many different headrest designs.

I was thinking that too. I actually removed my rear seat's headrests.
