They look great, but I have to use a front plate in my state so I'm probably going with a cheapie mesh grill that can attach a license plate easier and cleaner looking... but dang, that looks good!

I actually just purchased an RS6 grille and a spare B7 grille which I'll end up fusing together. Otherwise I would have been interested!

They are nice looking. In Ventura county, I don't "need" a front plate, ...but I hear that one is needed next door in Los Angeles county

I don't have any pictures on my phone currently, but I am working on a grille right now. I should be able to get pics up in about a week or so.

I was planning on doing the DIY for this but I found an amazon seller selling it for the non s-line. I ordered it and should get it in a few days. Only other one I found was ridiculously expensive for like $600.

Doubtful. The cheap eBay ones have the plate bar and are almost always for non-S grilles. S-Line grilles have one option- OEM RS4 which is the $600 one he mentioned. I hope he didn't just buy a grille that won't fit his bumper..

Yeah I found a dude who has one with the plate filler for non s-line, said he'd sell it to me for $65 shipped. Thinking of grabbing it since it's so cheap and brand new. Could be a good option for now. But yeah I hope this guy didn't get something he can't use!

They have a chrome trim 1 listed also. I didnt want to take a chance of possible cheap chrome peeling. So I just got the complete black grill. It was real easy to . As you can tell you have to the bumper to replace the grill. Since I had the bumper off I decided to the HID fogs with LED 1's. They have a chrome trim 1 listed also. I didnt want to take a chance of possible cheap chrome peeling. So I just got the complete black grill. It was real easy to . As you can tell you have to the bumper to replace the grill. Since I had the bumper off I decided to the HID fogs with LED 1's. They are super brite, way less glass ,and more focused

True, but for that cheap I'm not too worried. That's a good idea though with the bumper off. I bought some Hoen H11 xenonmatch bulbs, and I haven't installed them yet so it'd be a good idea at that time when my bumper is off.

Un-related to the Honey comb. Would it be frowned upon to take a 2014 Allroad grille and cut it to fit a normal avant or is that kind of like taking a sline badge and throwing it on a base model?

how does the logo mount secure to the grill? are there any placement hints or anything? How's the quality compared to the OEM grille?

They include the hardware to mount the emblem. You have to your old one over. I didnt want the emblem on the grill anymore. Quality is pretty

California Vehicle Code 5200. (a) When two license plates are issued by the department for use upon a vehicle, they shall be attached to the vehicle for which they were issued, one in the front and the other in the rear.
(b) When only one license plate is issued for use upon a vehicle, it shall be attached to the rear thereof, unless the license plate is issued for use upon a truck tractor, in which case the license plate shall be displayed in accordance with Section 4850.5.

So... The argument is that your vehicle was sold to you with only 1 plate, it will be up to the cop who wrote you a ticket for no front plate to prove that your vehicle was originally issued 2 plates and those 2 plates are the ones on your vehicle. However if you have vanity plates you are screwed since the DMV always issues new plates in sets of two.
