    Spring help

Hey all. So i wanna lower my car. Save me the fatherly advice i am aware coilovers are a better idea than just springs. But anyways i am going with springs for now. I'm aware of the cons. So when i search for springs specifically for the C6 A6, i only get HR springs, and there's two versions of em. But the most lowering of the two is 1.6" front and back. Now, my question: are there any other brand springs, maybe for other make/models even, that will go on a C6 A6? I want at least 2" lowered front and back. The factory wheel gap with 18's is atrocious. Thanks ..

The other option for springs is Eibach. Unfortunately, they have a less aggressive drop than the H&Rs.
In the past, H&R offered 3 versions of springs for the C6; OE, Sport and Race. The OE were a mild drop (about 1"), the Sport is the middle @ 1.6" average and Race were the most aggressive at approx. 2". I don't believe H&R offers the Race springs but if you can find them, that may be what you want.
I am running the Sport springs and will say that my drop was more than the stated 1.6". It was more like 2. I believe that was the case because I had a non-sport suspension to begins with.

Put Eibach springs on mine and the drop was at least 1.8 inches. Too low for me and the roads I travel. Handling was spot on combined with FSD's and a H&R rear sway. Took them off due to all of the scrapping.

If I were to try lowering again, I would go with coilovers like I did on my B5. You really can dial in the ride height you are looking for.

I also have non sport suspension, having the base model, so hopefully I'll get more than 1.6 inches. But I'll look for the Race springs, sounds like what I'm looking for. Thanks.

yeah I would do coilovers but moneyyyy. which to this day still has me thinking twice about just getting springs. maybe just save and get a proper kit. I just wanna lower already!
