So my car just came with a manual mirror, and I miss the old one that used to be in my BMW. Per the FSM, there is an anti-dazzle mirror that is available. Where can we get the mirror?

Since I have the A3, can I simply purchase the mirror for the S3 and install it Plug and Play, or will there be more to it?

I'm sure it's plug and play, but you'd have to figure out where the wiring is for the auto dimming element and code it in. Since it reads off of the sensor in the rearview mirror (assuming it does), there might be more to it though.

I have a prestige s3 2016 as well. Its in the vehicle settings for locking. You can make it so when you touch the door you can unlock all of them as well. Now my mirrors fold in when i lock the car.

A DIY would be welcomed for those who have pulled it off!

I purchased a grey oval dimming mirror from China! It is OE, you can find them on Aliexpress. Mine cost me $90.
Came with a simple two cable harness, that is long enough to reach the fuse box.
To remove the old mirror, take off the top trim, then twist the mirror base clockwise, it will pop off. Route out the cable and find a switched ignition and gnd.

It should take no more than 30mins to wire up.
