HELP!! Spyder Aftermarket LED Tail Lights

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    I purchased these spyder tail lights for my 2005 A6 4.2 S-Line.

I installed the lights along with error free reverse and turn signal LED's. I've also went into VCDS and changed the codings.

First I subtracted 0004096 from my current coding which was 0424125 so that gives us 0420029 and that allows the turn signals to work fine.

Next, I subtracted 0131072 from 0420029 which then gives us 0288957 and that allows the brake lights to work.

Now.... everything works but now the lights flash in sequence. Firstly the right brake light, then reverse then turn signal then license plate lamps then the same happens to the left tail light. I do not know how to overcome this... I tried putting a 50watt resistor on each turn signal bulb to see if that would have an effect but it does not.

I do know the reason why the LED's flash in that order is because the car is performing a "Cold Diagnostic check" to see if there's a bulb out because the wattage/resistance is not right.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Welcome to the world of adding LED bulbs to our cars. I have LED reverse lights and front turn signals that flash every 26 seconds because of the "Cold Diagnostic". I when I have some time, I want to dig around in VCDS and see if there is an option to disable the "Cold Diagnostic" but until then, my car will look like it is a rolling EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival for those uninitiated).

Lol. Ya man, I tried poking around VAGCOM but there's no option to turn it off. It's frustrating trying to figure this issue out.
