Hey guys
A little background on the vehicle: It's a B6 2005 Audi S4 Automatic/Tiptronic with 150000+ miles on it. Never had any tranmission issues since I've owned it (purchased 2013 with 70000 miles) and no history of any.
Recently came back from a round trip MD to NJ from last weekend. I recently went to 255/35/19 tires for the last couple months and no rubbing issues (at least I thought). Well one of my tires in the front had a leak and so I went to take it off and noticed a slit in the inner wall of the tire. It was rubbing with the control arm so I put the spare on the car (the 18 inch spare the car came with). No bueno as I heard a lot of noise and crackling when I tried to drive with the spare. I only went 10 feet and decided it wasn't going to be drivable so I tried to turn around and move the car back to where it was. Well when I tried to go in reverse the car wouldn't move. Switched to drive, still wouldn't move. I had to push the car back to the spot I wanted it. The car runs great but will not go in gear.
I really hope it's not a major issue but I think it is. Anyone ever heard of such an issue? I currently got the car towed to an Audi dealership. One of the service reps thinks it might be a coding issue?
