Stasis Exhaust

Hi,

I'm interested in the Stasis catback exhaust. I've seen them pop up FS from time to time and am aware they are no longer being manufactured. I'm only interested in the Touring/Challenge edition that comes with the downpipes and removable baffles, not the old drone version. I'd prefer one in excellent condition.

Yes, ironically a few days after I took me AWE off and was wondering what my next move is, I parked next to a guy at my son's school that had one. very OEM+ sounding. I only heard it from outside, and didn't take a ride in his car, but it sounded good to me from what I did hear.

I just picked the Stasis Touring / Challenge Exhaust used.



To be clear, i'm still on stock DP's. I'm trying to decide which ones to go with. My initial impression is great. The exhaust is well built and sounds great as you wind the car up, sounds so good above 3,500 rpm.

Thus far, i've adjusted the exhaust twice in 3 days. Perhaps i'm a perfectionist, but equally spaced and level tips are a thing for me. Adjustment isn't hard by any means, just time consuming, at least in comparison to the adjustment of my FI system on my B6 S4.

No, they were pretty thin and a few holes were starting to poke through so I scrapped them.

I in same boat as you want it quiet..
Something that works great is a rs5 exhaust! I just put one on my car and added the quad tips to it..I kept my apr front down pipes on it also.I have no cats and it sounds really smooth mellow tone with no rasp at all.
It's all 2.5" piping and is abit louder than stock but has better flow! Just a fyi

Ya it is different.
I will make a video in the next day a post it..I'm going to take the apr front res out to see if it gives more of a high pitch sound but ti will make a video of both setups🖒

What did you do with the valves? Leave them open or closed? Or manually can you change them?

Are you still looking for one? I'll be picking up an S4 with a stasis exhaust this coming Tuesday. I'm unsure which version it is but I will be getting rid of it regardless to go with an AWE touring exhaust.

Not sure. It came with the car when I bought it. I swapped it cause it wasn't what I was looking for, I wanted something more raw and aggressive, so I got the Milltek race exhaust.

I love my Stasis exhaust with stock DP. It drones at certain RPM but I can deal w/ it. I get lots of compliments too. Some people say its too loud but I don't mind.

I think it's the challenge. Not sure about the baffles. It came with the car. It's real mellow until you hammer on it.
